Halle Homel is a thru hiker, Leave No Trace advocate, National Park guide, and 2023 Thru-Hike Syndicate Ambassador. After traveling full time across 50 states and 51 National Parks over the past nearly four years, she thru-hiked California's 70-mile lesser-known Backbone Trail. She started #SaveTheSantaMonicas to spread the message of LNT on social media and wants to expand beyond the mountains she calls home with the goal of making outdoor education and recreation more accessible for all.
